TMLA and St. Joseph High School Participate in Rose Classic Super Jam

This year’s Rose Classic Super Jam took place Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend at Nazareth H.S., East Flatbush, and Canarsie H.S. The event serves as a showcase for local players to display their skills in front of college coaches.

A number of local GCHSAA teams participated in the event, including Nazareth; The Mary Louis Academy, Jamaica Estates; Bishop Loughlin H.S., Fort Greene; Xaverian H.S., Bay Ridge; Archbishop Molloy H.S., Briarwood; Msgr. McClancy H.S., East Elmhurst; and St. Joseph’s H.S., Downtown Brooklyn.

Kania Pollock, a senior guard on The Mary Louis Academy, Jamaica Estates, basketball team, scored her 1,000th career point on Jan. 20. She will be attending Manhattan College this fall on a basketball scholarship.

Pollock is pictured below holding the commemorative pink basketball, alongside her teammates and coaches.
